Statement

I love color, form and lines and I love faces and nature scenes. The first time I saw ancient and modern art it hit my soul and I felt connected to it by my portraits. This ancient art is like poetry without words to me. Magical, soulful, and silent with a deep expression.

My paintings of faces have become my diary since I was a girl. The face with its organic form and few parts that make the whole composition of a face, the gaze and the complexion giving us a message is magical. My desire to paint something so fragile as faces on a canvas is done by painting with thin layers until I’ll reach a true and strong image of a face with a convincing feeling.

I adore nature by its forms, details and breathtaking colors, light and darkness. Even here I create my works in thin layers and I enjoy the process of blending colors and trying to capture the soul of nature.

From Modern art, Mondrian and Kandinsky is my inspirational source when I am working abstractly.

I work the same way with my sculptures as with my paintings, building up a form layer by layer and I have the same thoughts about expressing the essence in the work. And I want to give the sculpture a poetic sense. I paint and sculpt figurative and abstract. I work both with the sense of, and by memory of my models and models for real. I want the viewer to get a magic feeling and feel connected with my art.

Both my father and mother were my earliest influencers and inspirational persons that gave me the music, poems, love and they cheered my creativity.
